Costa Rica
Whitewater Rafting
The river decides your pace — and it does not negotiate.
The Pacuare drops through a primary rainforest gorge that has no road beside it — just class III–IV rapids, waterfalls pouring straight off the canyon wall, and eco-lodges you can only reach by raft. The Reventazón, Sarapiquí, and Savegre round out the country's paddling map, from mellow family floats to technical whitewater.
