How it works
How Kaia works
One place to plan a trip across Costa Rica's tourism supply, and one place for operators to run their bookings — instead of the usual back-and-forth over WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, and cash on arrival.
For travelers
Plan and pay in one place
Discover all of Costa Rica
Search experiences by zone, category, or date across certified tour operators, mid-size businesses, and independent local guides — not just the few names with the biggest ad budgets.
Build a multi-day itinerary
Add experiences from different operators to one trip. Kaia lines up dates, zones, and transfer times so a canopy tour in Monteverde and a boat tour in Manuel Antonio don't collide on your calendar.
Send booking requests
One request per experience goes straight to the operator who runs it. No separate email threads, no chasing replies across three apps — you track every request's status from your trip page.
Pay in one place
Once operators confirm, pay the whole trip from a single checkout: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SINPE Móvil, or crypto through MoonPay. Kaia holds the commission; operators get the rest.
For operators
List once, get booked, get paid
List your experiences
Create a listing with your photos, pricing, and availability. Works the same whether you're an ICT-certified operator, a mid-size tour business, or one guide with a boat and a permit.
Manage bookings and calendar
Requests land in your operator panel with the traveler's dates and group size. Confirm or decline, and your calendar updates automatically — no more double-booking off a paper notebook.
Get paid — 10% commission
Kaia charges a flat 10% commission on completed bookings. No listing fees, no monthly subscription. Payouts follow the trip's completion, tracked from the same panel where you manage the booking.
Kaia doesn't run any tours. It connects travelers directly with the operators who do, and takes a commission only when a booking actually happens.
